Retaining diverse early career talent matters.

Here are ways we partner with employers.

Engage students through workshop sponsorship

Sponsor the career development of an underrepresented student and actually attend / co-present in our workshops so that our students find value & build relationships.

Reach students from many nonprofits and backgrounds…all at once

FutureMap is the only organization building a platform and community of College Access Nonprofits. Through our partnerships, we reach thousands more students than just one organization can manage. You can select preferred partners within our network of CAN’s, reach out to specific affinity groups, and still achieve the volume of exposure you need.

New Manager & New Employee Cohorts

In our experience, it’s not enough just to hire diverse talent — it’s about supporting them and equipping them once they’re there. Our students tell us that managers also need to be ready for THEM — and managers say the same about their new hires’ readiness for remote work and more. We do 4-week cohorts periodically for new managers who are bringing on Gen Z or underrepresented interns & new hires.

“Every time I got off the phone, I thought, this is definitely the person we are going to hire. All of our interactions with FutureMap staff have been high quality, thoughtful, and helpful.”

Anna Sommer, Principal at Energy Futures Group (see her testimonial on LinkedIn!)

“You facilitated connections to qualified interns that we most likely wouldn’t have come into contact with before. I believe this is a program that really does provide mutual benefits for both employers and interns.”

Carissa Patrone, Equity Program Mgr. at the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum

Our Partners

We partner with nonprofits (particularly in the areas of college access and persistence), universities, and companies to create an ecosystem that supports the first-gen graduate.
